Hi folks
Recently purchased a 2000 s430 with 33,000 miles (ex US state dept. car).
Went to my dealer for a front end alignment and was informed that it needed lower control arms, and that this was a "product update" that should have been done early in its life. Any insight to this? Was MB changing out control arms at some time for this car?
Oh yeah, the car is magical to drive.
Previous MB was 1983 380SE with 190,000
Thanks for any insight.

Yeah because when the bushings failed on the control arms, they would start to rub through the K-frame. which is made of aluminum, when that happened you now have a very costly repair, i would change them out if you intend to keep the car.
