Hi again ppl. I am trying to buy a 91 turbo DSM from a guy and he said it was running fine. However today he said he started it up and took it for a test drive and found out it has a vacuum leak.
He said when he got the car a while back it had the same problem but that the vacuum hoses had pinholes in them and replcaing them fixed it right up.
He says he cant find any right now but hes going to go back over it again. Do you guys have any idea whats up or anything I can tell him to try to see what the problem is?
The car has some mods but I dont know what all has been done yet. He says he was running 14PSi and backing it down to 10 helped some.
Let me know and thanks!

I dont know really, he says it cuts in and out and he says its drivable but he wouldnt recommend trying to pass anyone.
I take that to mean that when he trys to step into the car the boost cuts out or gets really weak.
I asked him if he was venting it and he said no. Any ideas? I really want the car but I dont have alot of cash right now extra to fix this problem if its really bad. I know the tubro isnt stock, its a larger aftermarket turbo. (16g maybe, dont remember what he initially told me)

Never encountered this with my talons but with my ford explorer i had a similar problem....no obvious vacuum leaks...changed the fuel filter and pump and she drives like a charm

Fuel cut? Try turning the boost wayy down and take it for a test drive and see if it quits "cutting out".
