2001 Honda Civiv EX Engine stalls

This is a weird one. If I do not use my car for 2 or more days, and then on the third day I use it, the car starts normal, after exactly 3 minutes the engine will start to stall. Some times it does turn off, other times the engine is trying to run. RPM goes down, then goes up a bit then back down even more. If I restart the car after it stalls, it runs fine, also runs fine if engine does not stall. If I use my car all week, it runs fine. It's always after sitting for a few days and after starting it, 3 minutes later the trouble happens. Has anyone ever heard of this before?
Thanxs.

Thanxs.Haven't personally experienced this, but from what you describe and assuming you have more than 30k miles on it, you may have carbon built up in the air induction system and fuel rail. very common problem in America with the quality of fuel we have. hard starting and stalling after a few years of service. suggest a BG fuel system cleaning at a reputable shop that carries BG products. around $179.00. another alternative is a can of BG 44k that goes in the tank when you fill up for around $20.00. good luck
