1995 - Climate Control Problems

Lately my climate control screen has gone really dim, and when I hit it (or the dash) it would brighten up then fade out again. Today, I'm driving along, hit the brakes, and all of a sudden it starts beeping and blowing air out of the floor. Then I hit the brakes again, and it beeps alot more then blows out the middle. Im driving along, and hit the brakes, and it switched to defroster on windshield, where it currently rests now. Not only does it do it (beep, like its trying to change it)when I apply the brake (I have noticed that when applying brake, it does it more often when the car tips forward), when when I unlocked and locked the doors, roll up and down the windows, and just randomly. Also, the pad itself doesn't respond to what I press.

Any ideas?
