My Car Wont Start, Please Help!

Hi, i am having another problem with my 95 9C1 LT1. About a week ago, it broke down on me and wouldn't start. I was sure it was the starter, so i got it replaced, still wouldn't start. Then I was told it was my flywheel (flexplate) so I got that changed. Now, that the starter and flywheel are new, it still wont start (both of there were indeed broke though). The engine is turning over perfectly now but the car is not getting any fire to the plugs. My mechanic that currently has it scanned it for trouble codes and no codes appeared. He thinks that maybe when I got my water pump changed, my other mechanic may have let a little water get into the distributer cap. I dont think that is the problem because it ran fine once I got my water pump changed. I am thinking if water got in my distributer, it would not have started immediately after he put the pump on.

A few days later, I drove the car about 10 miles maybe, went in a store, came back out and the car started, but it sounded bad like it wasnt getting enough gas or something. So, I cut it off and restarted it a few times with no luck. Then I decided that I better get it home so I can get it looked at. So, I try to start it one more time and all I got was the "sssskkkkiiiiirrrrttttt" you get when your starter goes bad. I knew my starter would eventually play out because I could hear it when it started. my first mechanic did spray a little throttle body cleaner on the front of the distributer and cleaned it off before he put the new water pump on if that makes any difference, but he told me that my distributer looked fine and wasnt leaking or anything.

Someone please help me. Its bad enough that I had to get my tranny dropped to put the flywheel on, and even worse that it still wont start... Do you think maybe the mechanic left something unplugged or something? I am tired of this caprice already and haven't had it 4 months yet (already put about 2 grand into it not including the current job).

I was really thinking about selling it, but as much $$$ as I have put into it, I might as well keep it unless I can sell it for about $5000. The blue book is only about $1700 for a 95 but these cars are very popular here. I saw a 91 on a car lot yesterday for $7000 and I know the blue book for a 91 has to be way less than a 95

Check to make sure all wires were properly reinstalled - if they were, then it sounds like OptiSpark time.

Im almost sure that he has connected all the wires properly, but what wires going to the tranny would keep the car from starting? He thinks its the optispard too. He said there is no spark at all. When the optispark goes bad, will there be no spark at all or a little spark. Are you interested in a 95 9c1 LT1 silicon212? :grinyes:
