Ok so I just got my oil changed at a jiffy lube, and when driving to pick my girlfriend up from school my car started acting funny. First it felt like the engine was dieing when i slowed down. when i tried to speed up it would rev high but not really go anywhere. eventually it would start going and would be fine until i slowed down again. during this my Tachometer wouldn't move off 2000rpms even when i could hear it was higher then that or lower... and my speedometer started jumping around randomly. I then pulled into the first parking spot I could find and my car just died. It won't start again and the electronics seem to be working fine (lights, radio) but the car won't start.

My friend, I think you are in trouble. Is there oil all over the undercarriage of your car ?
Either:
drain plug wasnt installed
oil filter wasnt installed
no oil added
wrong fluid added
I hope they didn't change your trans fluid instead of changing your oil, b/c those cars have a drain plug on the trans pan

I did not check and right now im about 20 miles away... do you think that it is something jiffy lube did? or didn't do...

Well if you did not experience any of this before Jiffy Lube, then I wouldn't be surprised.. have you ever gone there before ? I never trust any type of place like that. Someone I know had their oil changed, and they didn't tighten the drain plug...

I've been to a different one and it was perfectly fine but it was my first time at this one... hopefully if its something they caused they will pay for the repairs...

I would take the car to another mechanic (hopefully reputable one that you know) and have them look at it (especially if you are not familure). They would simply need to check the transmission fluid and the oil. Then you would have some documentation incase it really was Jiffy Lube's fault.
Is there really a drain plug on the trans pan? I have a manual but have never drained my trans fluid, so I wouldn't know. Maybe it is time.
