it's made using just normal drawing pencils. no fancy things like markers :P especially the darker areas are wood cased pencils (bruynzeel: http://bruynzeel.easyorder.nl/images/pictures/HR/8615K1H.JPG). some details are made using mechanical pencils.
i finally found a place that sells softer grade mech pencils so next drawing will be more mech and less wood cased pencils because it is easier to keep a sharp point.
the paper is canson bristol

I hope to finish this one before Christmas. But life is busy lately. I hope to maybe do a little work on it tomorrow. We'll see.

Same to you! The rear wheel needs about an hour. Another hour per tyre i guess. And some time to finish the front end of the car.

All you have to do is make sure you mention it in the post, preferebly the title i think.
WIP stands for work in progress, i.e. a drawing that has yet to be finished.
Hope you join us!

Your Zonda didn't look half bad nicecar.
This was a nice warm up for my next drawing. A fully detailed f1 classic, which i want to draw using some new techniques i read about. Now that i know the basics of the paper i am using, i want to see if i can make it all a bit smoother without using a stump at all.

I use Brunzeel pencils and the local bookstore's own brand of mechanical pencils. The brunzeel can be bought in every bookstore and everyone in the Netherlands has used them. They cost about about 85 cents or so. The mech pencils come in different colors so it is easier to keep the grades of lead apart. I think they cost about €1,75, including a set of leads.

That is a nice pencil rendering. The detail in those vents and wheels is intense. Making continuous tone with a stick of graphite is damn hard to do. You pencil wizards have my respect.

It's not colored pencils. It's just regular grapite stuff. I didn't use that much pencil on the drawing. Most i used ended up in the bin because i had to sharpen so often to keep a nice sharp point to the pencil. For the details in the wheels and some reflections and things i used 0,5 mm mech pencils.
The size isn't as big as you might think. The car is drawn on a normal A3 sized piece of paper. The height of the car is equal to a normal pencil minus the erasor tip (exactly 15 cm or 5,9 inch).
The amount of detail isn't subject to the size of the paper but to the amount of time you put in.
I used:
Pencils
H: bonnet
HB: bonnet, wheels, windshield, roof, mirrors, rear panel, ...
2B: door, wheels, front bumper, mirrors
3B: air intakes, tyres, roof, mirrors, bonnet, door, rear panel
4B: air intakes, wheel arches, window trims, tyres
Erasor
kneadable erasor
plastic/rubber erasor
Paper
Canson Bristol Smooth A3
Time
Around 60 hours
Except for the paper (€7,70 for 20 sheets) everything comes from the local bookstore. So i think all together this one costed around 3 to 4 euros to produce because i didn't use up the erasor or pencils so i can use them for more than one drawing.
This was all one big experiment and i have to admit that i am pleased with how it turned out. I see dozens of things that i don't like, but overall i am happy with how it looks so far and with how much i learned.
Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you. happy new year to you too, and to everyone of course
