Ive got a 97 k1500 ext cab with 180,000 miles. Whenever im going between about 20 and 50 (it seems like thats the speed) and going around a curve(usualy to the right, maintaining steady pressure on the wheel), it will seem like somehing slips and the wheel jerks to the right a little bit. Dont know why. any ideas?

Do a search for "EVO sensor" and hopefully you'll find the answer.

One more question. Is the bolt I need to remove the one that goes through the shaft or the two that go with the shaft that hold the shaft onto a bracket on the underside of the dash? im guesssing its the one going through the dash....

Its the single 15mm nut connecting the shaft to the column.
Disconnect it & push the shaft down through firewall to access
sensor retainer. There is a rubber grommet at the firewall that
you will probably shove through also but easy to push back in
from engine bay when done.
Follow wires from sensor to black foam wrapped connector up
around column and disconnect. Removing the foam insulation
takes some patience. Remove sensor from grey retainer.
I think there were 3 clips on retainer with sensor inside.
Note which way sensor is facing when you remove it. Put new one
in carefully & make sure wires to connector are going through the notch
in the retainer when you close it back up. I had to unlock my column
to reassemble shaft cause it had shifted.
