just bought a car that has a late 80's camaro 350 so i was told. the car is not runing it has a holly carb on it the first ? is does a fuel injected motor have fuel pump lobe it has a new fuel pump but not pumping gas second ?? how do i tell if this motor is a 350 what do i need to look for ??

You identify the engine by the stamped code on the machined pad at the front, right side. You could also get the block casting number (7-8 digits) and the date code.
Earlier fuel-injected engines still had all the places machined for the fuel pump pushrod, and if a flat-tappet cam, the lobe is there. The pushrod isn't. If' it's a "roller" (hydraulic roller cam), it will have no lobe on the cam.
Later blocks didn't have the provision for the pump pushrod machined.
