This noise is only heard when braking and not when going over bumps. It's when the weight transfers to the front and the suspension compresses. It sound like a loose rubber bushing and makes a plastic/rubber groaning or squishing noise. I'm thinking control arm bushings or sway bar bushings. I've also noticed that it is quieter when raining and the undercarriage is wet. This leads me to believe that the water is acting like a lubricant.
It has 90km on it. Anyone have there replaced yet?

I'm having the exact same problem, I think It's the lower control arm bushings. I already replaced the uppers but I'm sure It's the lower one thats making the noise.

Careful here, it is more likely the ball joints, I had this type of creaking and pinned it down to the lt ball joint as someone bounced the car while I felt around the various frt end parts.

I have a 2002 trailblazer and went through the same thing. It only made the noise when I was breaking and wasnt really loud when dry and not wet. I went through the garage and spend 1500.00 trying to get rid of it they first told me it was the sway bar bushings which they changed, then they told me that it was the ball joints which they changed, they also changed other pieces that I dont even remember as it was last year and the noise was still there. Only after I took it to a garage with a pit so they could see underneath while it was driving did they determine that it was the lwr control arm bracet which cost me another 1000.00 to fix, hope this helps

I had a similar problem... squeak on braking over bumps, especially on turns and would go away when raining. The problem was caused be the front hood mounts. The rubber mount that aligns the hood was rubbing against the hood causing it to squeak. The dealer charged $135 bucks to fix initially. It later came back. This time I put a little armoral on the rubber mount and it hasn't come back since. Check this before you spend hundreds on new control arms, bushing, etc..

I replaced my lower control arm bracket my self, at a cost of $ 220.00, and that took care of the noise on mine.

Bracket? you mean the control arm itself? If so the ball joint was included, again maybe this was the problem, take a look at the old one.

I read all the comments, but you better try jak8005 first. A couple of squirts of WD-40 on the hood rubber mounts solved my problem. This is a lot easier than replacements that are being advised.
