Yes you can put a turbo application on the H22 in the Accord.

I noticed you said a 97-99 H22 is what you plan on putting in there, if I may just throw my 2 cents in; if you go 97 or newer which is OBD 2 you will not be able to put a performance chip in it.

OBD 1 92-96 can be upgraded. And it is about a 1000 dollars cheaper to go with the OBD 1 engine over the OBD 2.

Just some food for thought...

Peace

First of all you can get what ever year you want, its your money, and overall its what you want and like.

I was just offering my recomendation.

Check out
www.h22a.com
www.h22a.org

Between these two sites they will give alot of info, from the specs to the actual swaps themselves (how-to's).

I strongly recommend you do a great amount of research before you go drop a bunch of money on an engine that your not sure about.

If you got questions don't hesitate to email me at [email protected]. If I can help I will.

There is alot more to the swap than you probably know. There are a lot of little misc things that are involved, along with the fact it may take 3-6 months to get the engine tuned and running right. Simply little kinks that occur, lots of switching out this and thats. It almost comes as a pain in the ass, but the end result is unbelievable. I wouldnt trade my H Double Duece for anything. When I buy another Honda, if it doesnt already have an H22 in it, I will put one in it, yea even a Honda Odessy.. LOL Hey its a direct drop in as well.... Peace

There is a third option. I am not quite sure, but I do beleive there is a very slight electrical difference between the 97 H22 and the 98+. This difference allows you to use an OBD 1 on the engine. But you have to use a late model OBD-1. I have a 1992 Honda Prelude, SI 4WS. I have a 97 H22A4 in it with a 95 OBD-1. My swap was done at a shop so I have never had anything more than an O2 sensor issue. Just adding my two cents.

I have heard they make something to override the OBDII, possibly a piggyback system of some sort? If anyone finds this, post it.

What did you have done to the ECU? How does the whole process work with them?

It has been mapped to match all my upgrades, fuel maps etc, my rev limit was taken off, my speed limiter was taken off, and my VTEC was dropped down a grand... You simply send your ECU and 300 bones to them and a day later you have it back, ready to put back in.
