The light in my volume control on the steering wheel went out this morning. Anyone know where I can get a bulb and how to replace it?

This link will give you great step by step directions on how to replace the light in your steering wheel radio control. These lights burning out are a common issue with GM vehicles. If you do not want to do the repair yourself, you can occasionally find good used ones on e-Bay.

OK, I ended up getting a new set of switches off ebay. One was good but the other one didn't light up. I wasn't sure I had the switch connected all the way. Apparently I didn't. I got my oil changed yesterday and the mechanic noticed the switch not sitting in the steering wheel securely. So they popped off the air bag and then reconnected the switch to the controller. The idiots used a clear silicone sealant to keep them together so the switch would not disconnect. My question is if there is any way to unconnect that switch now with the silicone on it because the guy from ebay is sending me another switch to replace the one that doesn't light up.
