96 Silverado - Bosch Fuel Pump

I'm replacing the fuel pump on my 96 Silverado (as a precaution) and I've got a few to pick from. I'm leaning towards a Bosch which is supposed to be an improvement over the original pump, and its rated 34PSI.
Another lesser name pump for a few bucks less is rated 24 PSI.
I'm not sure what the original pump is rated for in terms of PSI, but is this a potential problem? Would it make fuel leaks more likely? Any performance issues with a higher pressure pump?
Appreciate any feedback.
Thanks

First, I wouldn't replace it unless you are having problems with it. Why spend money and time on something you don't need to do?
But if you are set on doing it, don't use anything other than an OEM (AC Delco) pump. From what I hear all aftermarket pumps are junk. I replaced mine with OEM when my check valve went bad and it works like new.

I am with rjeffery, only replace when needed, and only with an oem pump. You will have better luck. After working at an auto parts store and selling a few different brands, oe is the only way to go.
