Hi Guys
Can anyone tell me if the antenna mast actually screws into the base or not. I just picked up a `95 which has the power antenna option. It worked great for a couple of hours then it would not retract. I can hear the motor cycling so I know it is not that . I frigged around with it today abit ,trying to push it down ever so gently . It would not go down by hand or power . So I give it a couple of twists ,as in screwing back on and it has now started working again. Likely just shit luck but if anyone can tell mee it would be appreciated, also how long is antenna when fully extended
Thanks Muff

You basically need a new antenna mast:

That page describes the symptoms you're having, and how a new mast will fix the problem. The plastic worm gear attached to the antenna mast gets stripped over time and motor is no longer able to retract properly.
