Hello everyone I hope someone will be able to help me. You guys always seem to be able to shed light on my problems in the past. I have a 01 Grand Am with a 2.4 dual cam engine. That will not start without spraying starting fluid into the throttle body. We thought it was the fuel pump, but still same problem after changing it. I have fuel pressure to the fuel log, plus like I said when I spray starting fluid in it starts and dies when I stop spraying. Sometimes you can turn engine over, and car will start for about 2-3 seconds, and then die. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

Just had the computer scanned last night, and found a code p1632 in the history. That code is theft deterrent- fuel disabled. Seems I have a passlock issue that the late model Grand ams are notoroius for. I will post back my results. Finally got car to start.
