96 Exhaust

I was wondering if any of you out there knew anything about the the exhaust replacement for a '96 Civic EX(i think) Friend's wife's has a hole in the pipe closest to the muffler can. Can you get underneath the car an simply swap out the pipe without any major welding? Are there more than one section of pipes coming from the manifold on back? And is it best to replace the hole pipe from the manifold on back or can you just replace the pipe that needs to be replaced. New to a Honda so be gentle. Thanks for your help.

you can just replace the part that has a hole on it, cut out a chunk or take that whole section out and replace it. The easier way to fix that would just be to weld that whole shut.
