Hi, I'm new here...

I'm looking into purchase of a second hand car sometime beginning of next year. So far, I've narrowed down to 2 choices both from Japanese manufacturer. I've been a Toyota fans since i was a kid saying that Toyota engine reliability is the best. Anybody have any comment to compare with that of Honda?

As an investment Toyota is the way to go. However Honda are a lot more fun, have more character and more often than not look better.

as far as parts and all that goes.. Toyota would be the way to go for cost in the long-run

i bought a 92toyota corolla in 2003 for 500dollars. I am still driving it and have nothing but minor problems with it such as thermostat, tune up, tires needed, air conditioner relay went out...standard stuff for an old vehicle. I still get 30 miles per gallon. uses no oil to speak of and runs like a top. air conditioner will freeze you out if you not careful. im very satisfied with a toyotta from this purchase and suspect i will go with them from now on. girard d. hall:loser: As an investment Toyota is the way to go. Toyota all the way for me however I do tend to prefer the Nissan Diesels when it comes to Trucks.

$500 and it's still on the road! Talk about value! Glad to hear it!

Happy New Year to you Girard!
