I am in a very very tight place right now... :(

Some of you know that I hit a deer in my parents truck and am having to pay it out of my pocket to get it fixed. Getting it done cheaply is gonna be about 600 bucks for a new bumper valance and body work...

Then I got a surprise in the mail today... A bill from my little hospital visit from a month ago... 2500 dollars due by the 22nd of this month...

So I have about 16 days to come up with approximately 3100 dollars...

Not good when I only bring home 1200 a month... I am so fucked right now...

Because I just spent about 300 on all the stainless piping for my exhaust and my IC pipes because I was all caught up on my bills that I knew of...

Until all this... Lucky me...

So, who would like to kill me? Cause this just fucking sucks... :(

Man that really sucks. You should be able to wait a few weeks on your parents truck right? I mean they should understand the situation. I dont know what to tell you about the hospital. If you have to pay it cant you just put it on a credit card and pay that off? Looks like your car is going to be put aside for a little while...

I wish I could wait on the truck but my dad has been on my ass about it... I'm so pissed that I can't even escape from them by moving out... Lets top shit off with I went out last night and didn't come home. So my mom thought it would be a great idea to wash ALL my clothes and put ALL of them in the dryer too... Now half my clothes won't even fit me cause she shrunk them all! I'm so fuckin pissed about that. I buy all my own shit and I told her to never do my laundry cause I do it myself. So lucky me, she decides to do this shit to "help me out"... I think that fuckin shit should balance out the whole truck situation... :banghead:

I'm gonna fuckin flip on somebody at work tonight... This will be so bad...

Can't you talk to the hospital about an installment plan? I'm sure there is some sort of finacial help available if not from the hospital by someone else.

I'm gonna ask when I go into work tonight about it... Cause there is just no way I can come up with the money in that short of time... I hope there is something...

It's so wrong that they don't give you more time to get the money together. I think they should at least let you know the amount you owe like 2 months in advance...

My brother was recently in a high speed GSXR 750 accident. He was lifelined into the hospital and had imediate surgery. Then had 3 surgerys over the next week. He had just graduated high school and was not covered under my parents health insurance, or so we thought. My parents were talking to the hospital and they had a bunch of different installment and payment plans they were going to do. Luckily at the last minute their health insurance company said they would pay for it. So, I'm possitive there is another route you can go. Your not totaly screwed. Just ran into some misfortune at the moment. Good luck with your situation and I'm sure it will all work out for you.

Dude file for whats called the hardship package. You have to provide tax statements for like the last year and pay stubs for like 3 - 4 months and get a yearly total print out from your company.

I got out of 2,700 for having them xray my ribs , doing a EKG , cat scan on my chest and the drip. All I ended up having to pay is a 200.00 fee for the ER visit. You just have to play the wounded victim to the extreme.

Damn 16 days...lol when I got my bill I had a week :/

They have to put you on some kind of payment plan, I mean it's not like you went delinquent on your bill since you were just in the hospital last month so they will deff. work something out w/ you. As for the vehicle repair I would fix that first while paying as little as possible on the doc bill then once the vehicle is fixed started slamming the doc bill out. That's what I would do, it seems like I've run into a lot of bills in the last year that I would have never expected.

Damn dude $2500 for a hospital visit?! Health insurance FTW.

I work for $1800/head plus $.15 cents a mile travel and a $80/day living expenses. Assuming its ~1000 miles to Ohio from here thats $300 round trip and it would be about three days gone so $240 for living expenses for a grand total of $2340. So you could save a little going my way! :p

JP mang. You can always sell yourself!

I think it's horrable the medical billing takes as long as it does to disperce your bill's. There needs to be a cap for how long the have to "come up" with how much you owe them. Fuck, it's not like they have a chart for what everything costs. Makes me sick even thinking about it.

Mother in law is in debt 1.8 million dollars of Medical Bills if that make you feel any better..

It is very ridiculous since it was from over a month ago and I totally wasn't expecting it to be near this much... All this damn health insurance I pay for seems to feel like an absolute waste when ya think about it. Hmmm...

Oh and that does make me feel a little bit better...

Yeah I was talkin to some people at work tonight about it (Mind you, I work at this hospital) and they told me that I can have a certain amount automatically drawn out of each paycheck so I don't have to worry about it. But shit, it already feels like my paychecks are nothing considering how much time I spend at work... Not that this really helps my moving out situation but ehh at least I'm not completely in the shitter now...

But damn do I need to move out... The tension here is getting sooooo bad again...

Ya know what would be an easy solution? Sell that red piece of shit that doesn't run... :( That would be an easy solution to help me get out of these tough times, but I will have to kick myself so hard in the ass if I did that...

Yeah, why should he be a responsible adult and pay for services he recieved, when he can get out of it so the rest of us have to pay for it. Everyone that gets out of paying for something screws everyone else. ;) I already pay 25k a year in taxes, 90% of which goes to shit that had nothing to do with me. And health care is ridiculously expensive, because those that can pay for it are supporting those that can't. Don't even get me started on illegal immigrants either. Like my ex-wife for example, that gets free health insurance. I still pay an extra 150 a month for that shit and will for the rest of her life because no one else will be dumb enough to marry her.

Lazy shitbags that can't support themselves = the lose.

Yeah I'm not gonna try and bail on it. I know that I have to pay for it but it just seems so damn expensive for... pretty much nothing that I received... :(

I'm gonna take my paperwork in tomorrow on my day off and set up monthly payments then. I got to looking into it and I can set it up to automatically deduct a set amount from each paycheck... I was so worried that I wasn't gonna be able to do something like that. This is like the first major hospital bill I've ever had to deal with. Everything else had always been cheaper things like just blood work and such...

As long as all goes as I plan from here then I'm gonna try to get the parents truck fixed ASAP, get the Talon running ASAP, and move out ASAP... I've got a place lined up for 250 a month and it covers rent, utilities, cable, and internet and I really don't wanna turn it down because its such a good deal for such a nice place...

kjewer1
10-08-2007, 08:40 AM
Can't beat that deal! I have been on my own since I was 18, that was about how I got started too. I let a friend move in about 6 months ago, pretty good deal too (300 includes everything, I even just cleaned the toilet, wtf).

Ya Im about to have major surgery and i think its going to be at least $10k probably more becasue im gonna need 2 doctors and a bunch of other shit. Thank god i have health insureance. But i think the major problem is the cost of healthcare its clearly not that expensive (see getting identical meds from canadfa for 1/2 price).
On another note hopw much do they take out of each paycheck or how much do they tax u for that free healthcare in canada cuz i know in England they take about half of every paycheck you make for healthcare.

Blackcrow64
10-08-2007, 05:46 PM
I guess I can set it up to take as much or as little as I want from each paycheck... The only reason I can set it up that way I think though is because I actually work at the hospital... I donno if they can do that for everybody...

I'm sure this didn't include me, but just in case, I know all about it. An illegal immigrant has half of the shit and money that I worked 28 years to aquire. She also has 10 times more rights than I do, being both a woman and an illegal. In fact, my own government, that I personally finance to protect me, screwed me over in order to make her legal now. I've been dealing with immigration for 4 years now and know all about the bullshit that goes on there. I won't even get into any of my conspiracy theories. ;)

It really has nothing to do with the border and where it is. The majority of these cocksuckers get in legally but stay illegally. There are cities up here in MA where half of the population is illegal. One town, where I work, wants to put an INS worker right in the town building to sort all this shit out. I say go for it. Finally, an acceptable use of my tax money.

When 10,000 illegal immigrants live in a city without health insurance (working part time on a fake SSN), and walk into a Hospital that is required by law to treat them, who pays the bill?

When my ex didn't have a SSN and couldn't get a license or insurance, drove around in a car that she bought for 600 bucks, who would have payed for damages if she got in an accident?

I'm personally tired of supporting these assholes, regardless of where I (or they) live. :banghead:

The population in my small farming town multiplies by a factor of 1.5 each and every summer because of the illegal immigrants, no joke.

I mean christ, who would have thought that people going to the hospital would get treated?

I mean screw em, they are just illegal immigrants right? No one wants to pay for them, so we can just let them die in the hosptial waiting room and not give them any medical care at all.

It's hard for me to maintain the kind of attitude were illegal immigrants are a bane on our society. I've traveled alot of Mexico and I've seen the way they live, and if I was in there situation with a family I would do the same thing.

Just because you had a bad experience with your wife doesn't mean illegal immigrants are "cocksuckers" or "assholes". And just because you have drawn a good lot in life doesn't mean that others are so fortunate.

I'm not trying to start a whole illegal immigrante debate, I agree with both sides in some ways, but I just hate this concept that Americans seem to have that illegals are somehow second class citizens.

If any of you had spent time with them you may find they are exactly like us. Trust me, I live in a city of almost 2 million of them.

Ok damn I thought this was the ETL forum, but if we are going to get back into politics i figure I'll voice my opinion.

Illegal immigrants are here to stay unless we get a president with enough balls to take charge about our breech of national security. That goes for Bush along with probably the next liberal that takes the seat.

I'm not much of a fan of illegal immigrants, but the way our country is headed it almost seems like there's no stopping it. Sure shoot the first 5 and the next 50k will learn, but the Libs will be all up in arms about that crying inhumanity or whatever they do. Don't get me wrong, if you people were in the same situation you'd do the same thing. Jump the border pop out a few kids, get free health care, free housing and free residency, all on the tax payers expense. The illegals are not to blame here, it is the poor excuse for national security that we have.

With a democrat most likely taking charge of this country, I see it going on for a long time. We have nobody to blame except the "bleeding hearts" we, as a country put into office. With most likely a Democrat running this country next I see even more Illegals jumping the border and making theirselves at home, in our home, at our expense.

Man you sure cry a lot and people who can't support themselves aren't shitbags , they are helpless. You criticize people , maybe you need to look in the mirror :/
Seriously, that doesn't piss you off. The harder you work, and the more money you make, the more it gets taken away to fund the advancement of "illegal immigrants" and people that don't want to get off their ass and get a job, and make an honest way through life. Sure the rich people probably don't miss it and the welfare mama's love it, but it's the middle class like me that gets screwed in the end. I hate to say it, but that's the way it will always be. You just have to "adapt and overcome".

They may be people, and I know and like of them, but if they enter my country illegally and steal my money I have a problem with it. The real problem is that people don't blame them for doing it, they blame me for "crying." This is so friggin typical, and it's why people have this false sense of entitlement.

Would we say the same thing about they guy that just broke into the EVO and wiped it out? It's not his fault it's society's. He's a person too and deserves to better his life by stealing my shit since I'm "lucky" enough to be able to hold a job and contribute to society and support myself. I should just stop crying and replace all my shit, or more accurately, restock it for the next poor guy that comes along and needs our charity.

I agree that most of the problem is that the government won't invest half the effort into doing something about this problem as they do to stop people from driving with modified exhausts, but individuals have to be held accounted for thier actions or we're all done... Talk to some immigrants that entered the country legally if you want to get some real perspective on this topic. ;)

I better get back to work, I've got the rest of the world to support.
