Alright I know that this may not be the best spot to put this thread but I only read this section. I have been into racing since I was a kid but I'm like tom cruise in days of thunder where he can drive but doesn't know how to tune the car. I just picked up a 95 eagle talon tsi and I have about 1200 to use towards mods. Any suggestions would help. I'm tired of loosing to redlines and srt4s unless they have a bad shift. Thanks and anthony is a retard.

Start with the basics. A different cold air intake works wonders for forced induction engines aka turbos, since air is key with those. Then get you some exhaust, unless you are happy with the one you got. Then chip it up since you only have 1200 dollars. But then again my car doesnt have a turbo so if there are other mods on that subject that is better then i have no clue other than to increase your boost.

boost controller... i think they can handle a bit more boost than they run, what is your stock boost pressure

I know the 1st gen put out about 11 lbs of boost. 2nd gen are supposed to spool up faster and I believe they have about 13 lbs of boost.

I would do an intake, exhaust, and a boost controller. If is a second gen I would replace the DV as well. Those are where you will see the most difference right off the bat.

Nitrous.

I guess if you don't mind doing things quick, dirty, and cheap.

dont do nitrous unless your engine is built to handle it.

I actually know where cassiesman is coming from so its ok. I'm from michigan and I'm not so much into the charger. And I can post pics when I'm asked to. I have to ask though what is a dv because someone sugeested that along with the boost controller. I was told to go with a t3/t4 and I would stay under my budget but wouldn't I need to replace and upgrade other things for it to perform correctly. And I'm afraid of nitrous, my dad had it on his cobra and I scared the hell out of me. Ifthere are any cobra mustang guys out there let me know. Ill post up some stats and mods for you. Along with pics because my races are far from magical fairytales that unicorns would be there to see. Hahahaha. Thanks you guys.

Wow I didn't mean to rub anyone the wrong way. But does the person that seems to hate me from the start have any input for the car. I'm just here to learn and read the races till I have a good one of my own to share. Thanks man.

A DV is a shift valve just like a BOV and a wastegate. They serve only to relive pressure. The difference being that a DV stands for diverter valve. I vents pressure back into the intake when you let off the throttle. It is located before the throttle body. A BOV stands for blow off valve and it vents pressure, when you let off the throttle, to the atmosphere and is located before the throttle body. A wastegate vents pressure when you reach a certain boost level and it either in or located on the turbo.

You have a DV. The only reason I suggest one is becuase the second generation DSM's have a crappy plastic Bosch unit that leaks easily. I would suggest a unit from a first generation DSM. They are much stronger and can be modified to hold 30PSI.

okay....so no NOS....
how about tints and debage the car.

that way your car can be "dark and mysterious" too.

Ahhh, Im just messing with you bro. those Turboed DSMs have a ton of crap you can do to them to make cheep power. And with them models getting older and older by the minute the aftermarket is getting cheaper and cheaper.
Go to the DSM forum and ask them. there are people there who will actually take the time to help you out and talk tech with you. They own the same ride and have tunned it so ask the people who have already been there.
This here forum is strictly for the racers. the Non-spec is a break room for the street racer guys cause we where eating too much crap and whoring out the race forum. unless your laying it down your preaty much in the wrong room.
good luck with the Eagle bro.
