car wont move forward or reverse

After going to EZ lube for an oil change on the way back home Started hearing what could've been a knocking noise then check engine light came on and now when put on "D" it wants to roll but it moves as if the engine is forced to move tried unplugging battery to reset check engine light it came off but the car still wont run the same. Before going to EZ lube car was fine. Car runs at about 3 to 4 mph my car is a 1995 toyota avalon

Would it do any good to ask what the code was?
