You mean like hollow test pipe, or high flow cat?
I have a Catco High Flow Cat. It's been great. It's stainless so it has no rust, and the heat shields are welded on so none of that rattling stock crap.

The high flow cat. I dont feel like killing off the earth with a test pipe.
How much, and where did you purchase your cat? I tried a quick online search, I didnt find anything really.

I'd be interested in this as well but I've had no luck finding one around... can anybody also recommend a nice high-flow cat-back exaust for a CRX?

I have seen two different brands on fleabay. But I am just curious if they are all pretty much the same, or if there is a certain brand that performs better than another.

I think they're all pretty much the same, I doubt there's any huge differences between 'em.

I got some generic shit, it was rattling like a mother fucker for a while, but then the muffler guy took out the lower heat shield and now it rides fine, I just better not go driving through any tall weeds:eek:
I hope my car passes smog with this shit on it.

I've got a customized pipping 2.5", took the resonator out & put a high flow cat converter. Passed the smog check with flying colors :)

i talked to the instructors at the honda scholl when i went a few weeks ago, they did a dyno on a new nsx....first with the converters, then with the converters gutted...they gained 6 hp from gutting them. So id go with hi flow before i gut my converters....

test pipe adds horsepower, makes your car smell like rotten eggs, and cause you to loss back pressure which means a loss in torque. High flow cat is the best solution.

that is a common misconception. when you lose backpressure, you do not lose torque, it simply moves up in the powerband. if you used to have 110 ft/lb @ 5500, you know have 115@6000 etc.

There is a place up here in Tulsa, OK, that sells them for 70 bucks. It don't have any heat shields on it though. My friend has one on his car and hasn't had a problem with it yet. I also think it doesn't rust either, straight chrome when he got it.
