Hi all.
Hubby cracked the tranny case and I need to pull the tranny to get it fixed.
I'm trying to pull the torque convertor with it, and I'm down to 4 bolts, but I'm stuck.
There's a support bar that the tranny is bolted to that run from each side of the frame. The bar is bolted to the upper side of the frame, so I can't just un-bolt it and let the tranny down. How do I need to go about getting it out from here?
My assumption is that I unbolt the tranny from the support, use a couple of floor jacks to raise the tranny as much as I can, then work that support bar out from under it, then I "should" be able to let the tranny down. Is that anywhere near close?

you have to take the transmission mount loose from the bottom of the tranny, and then jack it up and then remove the bar, and proseed to lower the tranny, and remove the flywheel cover stater, and remove the bolts from the flywheel, the shift linkage then the bolts from around the tranny, hope this help.
