Is a vaccuum leak hard to fix? What if i took it to a shop? How much would it cost me? He said there is an improper air/fuel mix.

Also, all that i would need to up the boost on this car is a bigger fuel pump and bigger injector and a boost gauge right?

Its probably misfiring bc he is venting the bov. Which causes it to run rich. Price seems a little high on that car though.

I don't see in the ebay ad any fuel control. You'll need something along the way of SAFC2 or DSMlink to control the bigger injectors. I'm always leery on modded cars and I agree that price is a little high.

I got him down to 5000. So to run more boost i will need bigger injectors, bigger fuel pump, safc2,aftermarket boost gauge, and boost controller? Correct?

Also how do i not vent the bov and how much hp do you think it has right now.

One more question: do misfires hurt anything in the car and do they need to be fixed.

Thanks!!

Yes they need to be fixed. Im not sure if you can recirculate that bov, you might have to get a new one. Im going to guess 230-240whp. On a decent tune.

Essentially, yes, thats the basics to run more boost. Knowing how to TUNE your setup is the biggest part. What are your goals? Is this going to be a street only car or will you be wanting to make decent numbers at the track? Silvreclipse is right about the blow off valve. You might have to change it with one that can be recirculated. Thats one more thing you MUST fix before you try and tune it.

The fact that it already has a 6 bolt in it is pretty sweet. That check engine light for random misfire is due to the 6 bolt swap. So it may not even really have a vacuum leak causing it. More info on that here: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/1gcasin2g.htm
