I am sorry but you are writing how you think. Be very clear. Do you think piston slap will disappear because of the brand of piston? I don't think so.

I wouldn't rebuild one of these engines, they are a very strong powerplant, but if you are rebuilding it, chances are it has alot of miles. Better to get a low mileage engine from the wreakers or a brand new long block. (block and heads.) in an case a new set of intake gaskets should be used. Anyting else that is easy to replace during re-install is a good idea too. If your asking just because of piston slap, leave it alone, I have 320,000kms on mine and the piston slap goes away when the engine warms up. Low mileage engines do this too. Make sure you change the oil regularly and no problems...
