same codes

TOOK truck to Azone, 2 codes P0401 andP1131,the guy told me to stArt with EGR,change EGR,went back he cleared the dashcomputer, 30 miles later serivce light came back on, went back to Azone, he check the codes, came back with the same 2 codes, truck runs great ,2000 F150 130,000 MILES ON IT. WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT? DON'T WANT TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER,Need to get this serivce light off and codes cleared up before I go and get it inspected?already 5 days late, vacum leak? how do you check for that? any help would be great, Thanks again PS do i have to clean out carbon?

The P1131 is for mass air flow sensor. And if it is screwed up, your egr will not know how far to open during operation. I would check the voltage/resistance on it first to eliminate that. Also clean it with contact cleaner, and check for cracked wires.
