I have a 93 1500 2WD A/T 4.3L, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coolant temperature sensor, fuel filter.
The truck will idle for about 7-10 seconds directly after start-up then sputter and die unless i give it some throttle. While driving, even after it warms up, it will sputter, bog down, backfire, lose fire, and if power doesn't come back, it dies. The truck performs very well at highway speeds.
I pulled codes off the odb1 and got a code 13, which i understand to be an o2 sensor.
I unplugged the sensor and the truck idles, runs and accelerates very well.
Any ideas what may be causing my problems?
