Hello everyone. For the last month, on and off, I have gotten into my car and it does not want to turn on. I can keep trying and then let it sit for five minutes and then it will come to life as if nothing happened!! When I try to start the car and it fails I hear a clicking (which I traced to the BCM/RFA 09388219 by Delphi Automotive Systems -- What is this?). I have figured it is the Ignition Switch. What do you think.

Here's what you do:
Figure out where the starter is.
The next time it won't start have someone smack it with a hammer as you crank the key. If it starts when you smack it, it's a bad starter.
It's probably the starter anyway. So if you just want to throw parts at it, do the starter first.

First get a oem voltage reading spec for the starter of your car. Next you can do is a starter test. Grab a dmm (Voltage reading) and test it from the negative side of the battery to the positive side of the starter. If you get within voltage of the spec then the starter is good but if you are off by alot then its your starter.
