does anyone know where i can buy the elements, or the net that contains the elements other than the dealer? Or a part number to aide in finding this part? my element doesnt work, and i want to replace it.

guess not. i figured if someone worked in a GM dealer they could look this up for me, our local dealers wont give part numbers over the phone, they know im price shopping. gmpartsdirect doesnt have seat heater listed.

Were you able to get your heated seat problem resolved?? I'm working on tackling the same issue with my 2004 right now.

Oh I definately will. Sometimes when I don't update a post it's because I've never actually done anything about the problem or I never followed through with a repair. I certainly plan to diagnose this heated seat problem but I have a couple other problems with the car that will have to take priority budget wise. My plan is to get under the seat and check the element resistance at the connector. I also want to go to a GM dealer parts counter and see if it's even possible to get hold of the heater element pad. Unfortunately the weather is really crummy. I'm actually sitting in my car with it idling right now as I'm writing this reply. I've got some goofy problem with my stabilitrak system when I drive in really heavy snow. It pops up on the little display and says "service stability system." My scan tool is scanning the vehicle system for codes related to that and anything related to the modules involved in the heated seat system. I'm not expecting the scan tool to pick up any codes related to the heated seat problem because as others have pointed out, the heated seat modules don't exchange much information on the class 2 vehicle network like other modules would.

earlier in the thread there is a link to heatedseatkits.com. i emailed them and they make a replacement specifically for the lesabre./ you unzip the back of the seat, and unhook the front, slide the heater pad under the upholstery, plug it in and turn it on.
i havent purchased this, because i have other things i need to spend the $100 on, but if you want a warm seat, this option looks way better than the oem replacement which will break again.

Just some information for those with heated seats that still work...never kneel on the seat to reach inside for something. Your weight and your knee will break the elements. This...according to a friend who works at a GM dealer.
