Disabling Torque converter

My GA 94 V6 slips when adding speed after slow down. I know the bad TCC solenoid is bad. I am planning to disable the TC solenoid until I replace it. Except for increased fuel comsuption, what will be bad sides of it.

If its "slipping" then you have other issues besides the TCC solenoid.

Thanks for the info.
I am pretty happy with disabled solenoids. When the electrical connector was unplugged, the car was very hard to accelerate from stop, but it was fine with shift gear at 2nd speed. If the car is young, I will rush to replace any bad solenoid(s), but I will stick with this trick since it's pretty old. To avoid overheating, a partially open thermstat was installed to lower coolant and tranny fluid temp.
