91 2.5l Diesel engine swap

Hi guys,

I have a 91 rodeo with a 2.5 litre diesel motor. This model motor is proving difficult to find parts for in australia. The head has blown and she aint running to good. I believe there are other problems as well :banghead: . I have been able to source a motor from a wreckers but with considerable cost involved. However other engines from the same year or newer are cheaper to purchase. Does anyone know what other engines are compatible, what would be the easiest to swap to? or should i fork out the cash for the 2.5.
