1996 achieva thrft bypass

I own a 96 Achieva that is giving me trouble. This past Sunday while driving, i acidentally pulled the key out of the ignition and i think that it tripped my theft deturment system. I want to bypass it and be able to drive my car again. When the key cam out of the switch, the car died and I had to be boosted off. About 10 miles down the road every dash panel light came on so I stopped the car and cut it off, and now it will not start back. I have ran every fuse, circut and other electrical chassis trouble shooting down and all comes back good. Can I go in and cut the yellow wire to the Ignition bundle and bypass the switch with a toggle switch. Please help me soon, I just put 450.00 in heads, tps, mat, map, coolant sensors, crankshaft, and coil pack. All help is urgently needed. I dont want to have to pay out 675. forthe GM dealer to replace this stupid thing!!!!! I dont have the funds being the only one in my home working and I depend on that vehicle to get me and my family around not to mention that was my moms car and she passed away a year ago August so I really dont want to get rid of it.

This response may be too late for you but, in order for the toggle switch to work, the car unfortunately has to be running while you switch it. What is your current status with the car?
