radar detector?

I was looking around in my grandmas garage and i found a radar detector that used to be in my stealth...it is a uniden model LRD6199SWS and seems to have quite a few features...i was just wondering how do you wire it in???

iif its jus a detector, you should be able to wire in to any 12V source and any ground

and what do you suggest i use as that 12 volt source?

You can wire it to your cigerette lighter if you want it to turn on when you turn on your car. It will turn off when you shut the car off.

you know those cigarette lighter plus are sold at pepboys and autozone and even walmart.
just get one, wire it to the plug and then plug it into the cigarette socket.

if it were me, i'd just wire it behing my lighter, so i could hide the wires...
