i swapped the oem EPROM chip with the DSMlink chip, put the computer into my GST, swapped the spark plug wires, and was ready to go... i put the key into the on position and the car starts clicking/viborating a ton! turning the key more it just cranks, and cranks, and CRANKS i let off trying to start it, and the car started to click/viborate again, and the injectors where not pulsing (the reason for not starting)... however, i had pressure in the fuel rail, so i pulled the computer and checked for bad caps, shorts, etc. found a few shorts, and repaired them... put the link chip back in the EPROM, and put it all back in the car, turned the key to on, the relays where normal at first, turned the key, cranked and cranked again, but would start returned to the on position, and the fucking clicks/viborations started again!... i checked for spark, and that was good... after a few attempts, i swapped back to the OEM '99 computer, boom! fired right up! shut it off, and put my eprom ecu back in... no better results... any help guys?:banghead:
it wont connect to my labtop ever time i try i get "command timed out" so i cant verify..

It will depend on how bad it is I guess. You might want want to call them and see what they say.

I think whatever it is, is a common problem to happen to DSM ecu's as my ECU took a dump on me with the exact same symptoms.
Where did you buy the ECU from? Can you get your money back for it?

i bought about a year ago on dsmtrader... dont think i can get my money back, but i do think i can fix it! The clicking sound i hear is from the ECU resetting a number of relays every time it reboots (several times a second). It's rebooting because the socket job is bad...

Ic1 and Ic2 are Temperature Sensors if I am thinking right. They are usually the largest chips on the board. Some one tell me if I am wrong lol.

ok checked the computer with a meter, and found the problem... pin 28 on the eprom wasn't getting the required 5 volts to function, i fixed the connection and boon! car fired right up, plugged the labtop in, and wham logged no problem! AWESOME!

Nice, theres probably not to many people who would take the time to track a problem down like that.
