Turn Key No Response- Help!

dealing with a 69 Nova
so... I brought my nova out on a saturday afternoon for a cruise then left it outside which i dont normally do for a few days- started it back up and moved it into the garage where its normally kept. 2 weeks later im all ready to go out for another cruise, turn the key and NOTHING- motor doesnt crank- no click from the starter no response anywhere, it seems to be dead- i hooked it up to jumper cables, nothing- battery booster, nothing- checked all wires to battery, starter, and distributor- and everything is in line - no idea what it could be there is just no respsonse from anything anywhere - i know this is broad but i really dont knwo what to put unless questions are asked- please help :-(

Basics here, check for loose cables or grounds corroded, check for 12v at the starter solenoid wire while someone holds the key in the crank position.

i had that problem once and come to find out all i had to do was replace the batt cable ends and now the trk runs like a dream no problems since

Does anything at all turn on when you turn the ignition on (radio, dome light, heater fan, etc) ? Yes/no?

Yes - Check for voltage at the little wire on the starter solenoid when you turn the key, if there is no voltage there when you turn the key you have a wiring problem. You may have two little wires on the solenoid, one comes from the ignition switch and then other goes to the + terminal on the ignition coil, you want to test the one coming from the ignition switch.

No - There should be two wires coming off the battery, a BIG one that goes to the starter and a little one that supplies voltage for the rest of the car, check that little wire for looseness, corrosion, or simply not even attached anymore. After years of being attacked by battery acid they get really bad.

Dirty battery connections are very insidious and not always obvious until you pull the terminals off for a close look. When the car sits, moisture gets into between the post and cable clamp and oxidizes enough so current doesn't flow. Usually a good wire brushing takes care of it, in extreme cases replace the clamps or cables.

been a while - but it turned out the starter was fried! no idea how but i guess it happens- i checked out all your suggestions thanks alot of fellas next time i think i should have checked the starter first thanks again
