I need to know what to do about my climate control switch does not go all the way up to the number 4 blower. It only goes from 1 to 3. I own a 1993 Pontiac Transport 3.8 litre engine. I need to know if it is the heater control relay switch or thermostatic switch?

I kind of understand position 1,2,3 work, but on position 4, blower does not, right? Or you have a fully automatic climate control, which may be somewhat different (not documented in my '93 manual...); anyway, check high speed relay, in engine compartment. THis is the relay that works the fan on max speed only.

mmm...this topic could have been started as a new thread, on in one that already dealt with climate control....however I agree that this thread title is rather vague anyway and can apply to everything...

You mean the switch does not physically turn or the fan does not operate? If the fan does not operate on #4 - replace the resistor board - under the glove box behind the blower fan...
