Fix it. IT can be repaired for $100 which includes all labor etc.
Indeed a stupid place to put the ABS computer.
The OEM pump motor control inside the ABS computer is a 75amp rated electronic switch that literally self destructs. It is not a matter of "if", but "when".
The new aftermarket part that is installed during the repair process is a 104 amp 360 amp surge rated device that should put an end to the "pump running forever" nonsense.
There is about $40 worth of hardware in that box including a mid 80's era intel processor. I can't believe they want (and are getting) 800-900 bucks for those things.
Anybody know where I can get a hold of a pile of these shorted out ABS controllers? What do they do with all of the "dead" ones?

The TRASH. I don't think GM asks for them back like they do other modules but I'll check.

Find a trashcan full of them and make me an offer. Actually one or two lying around will suffice and more as they become available.
