2005 Ford 500 Hesitates and down shifting problems

I have an 2005 500 Limited 2wd and noticed a week ago that from a stop when I give it gas it like hesitates and then takes off. While I am driving it it drives fine. When coming to a stop I can feel it down shifting and I was never able to feel it doing that before. Any ideas anyone???

The five hundred has a shiftless transmision and shouldn't do that there is a trans sensor that may have gone bad i'm not sure if it is related to the hesitation but if the warrenty is still on i'd see the dealer

only the awd models have a cvt or shiftless tranny, fwd models have a 6 speed automatic

Mine too has this issue with the 6 speed. Another thread on here mentions its just normal but now that mine has 99K it seems to be getting more noticeable. Any suggestions?
