Howdy folks! I hope all is well and good with you. Please contact me if you are finding any goodies on Bonnevilles. I have a 98 and love it. It has 90+K in it body is great. I taped into some info that suggests that I can replace the 3800 series II motor with a 4.9L Caddy motor. Can anyone comment on this? And possibly point me in the direction of more info??? Peace and Happy Thanksgiving!
I love my B-Sled!

If i were you i wouldn't replace the 3.8 with the 4.9L v-8. Yes it is more powerful but when you want to sell your car and it has a 4.9 in it....alot of that cars value has went down. Don't ruin the nice car. I know of some upgrades for that motor. Tell me if its a 3.8 Supercharged with 240hp or stock 3.8 with 205hp.

Your stock engine can be made to put out alot of hp. You can also swap in a series 2 3.8l that can put out 500hp if pushed.
If you swap in a v8, swap in a caddy 4.6l kit. The same company who makes the 4.9 is doing that as well. The max hp on the 4.6 is over 1000hp.
ya very excessive and not free but it is doable. You can also go rwd.
Yes at that point you might as well buy a firebird.
The issue is always money there really are no limitations.
If you want to keep your car for a long time and plan to spend some real money go with either a series 2 swap or a v8 swap.
Otherwise get some ported headers a ported throttle body and a intake. Then strap on a NX 30 shot and have some fun.
Look on google you will find alot of product.

opps you have a 98 you have a series2 your cheapest bet is to mod the engine you have. There is better swaybars available and coil over kits and drop springs as well.
you name it its available for your car.
look around and you will find it.
