My passenger seat wont adjust backwards . . all the other switch positions work. As the seat adjusts forwards what may I discount as failed? Does a single motor supplied by a single fuse control bothe the fore and aft adjsutment of the seat, confirming the switch must be broken?

TIA

There should be only one motor for the seat back function. It could be just a sticky connection, as it works one way but not the other.

Check some of my links in my signature at the bottom, especially Johan and Seans E32 page. I think Gales Repair Page also has a seat back repair how to that's worth checking out.
