Different sized rubbers

09-30-2007, 10:57 PM
Was looking over the sway bar bushings for 94 TC. Exec

Come in 3 differnt sizes. Small medium and large.

Im figuring small TC, medium upscaled TC, and large for towing package?

I measured the fronts and they look to be about an Inch /25mm and backs
around 3/4 inch or 18 mm.

I have an 18mm wrench and I guess I could use a cresent wrench on the backs and then measure the opening.

Figured it out how to get accurate measurement just typing it in.

Replacement parts have to meet or exceed manufacturers specifications
or safety standards is that correct? So basic bushings should be fine? I saw some blue Moog Bushings are they thicker and better or just Blue?
I cant see them being any thicker if they are going to fit in the clamp

Hope everyone's Good Thanks and Good Luck

"Different sized rubbers"

You should have left the "s" off the last word. Then I would have known you were talking about cars! :nono: :runaround: :evillol:

W H E W !!!!!! Man, that was close ! for just a split second there I
thought there was a discussion started about optional accessories
for back seat activities rather than torsilastic compound bushings
used in suspension systems of automotive products !
So glad we were staying on track here. Phrawg

Moez1010,

I was not intending to take this thread in another direction than your question. I don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about but the "rubbers" just triggered my thinking.

Sometimes we get so frustrated at our cars we could screem, or cry, or both. I just figure a little humor once in a while won't hurt.

I also expected someone with some expertise along this line to post by now.

I apologize if my "funny" slowed things down.

No problem brother. I feel the same way. Humor helps me live with the fact I cant go in and lay 50 G's down on a new Lincoln.(I would buy a big fat SUV for Tammy(the Mrs,)).

Some guys dont laugh at good humor and some guys dont follow good advice. Its a human element and the only common thread here. We are all human.

As far as the more qualified answering by now answering.

I start my questions long before i intend to work unless its 911

I let them build the better mouse trap. Most like to HELP and thats why they come. Some like to heckle and thats alright too. Some like to show off the knowledge like at a car show thing. Bring um all .

I went from pulling my steering gear to replace seal to pulling a clip turning the wheel and having it pop right out. In a couple of days.

If ya got a problem I sure would like to HELP ya. If I cant then maybe you will get a laugh now and again.

Thanks and Good Luck
