lt-1 new water pump leaks: cheap gaskets?

I bought a new water pump and put it on my 1995 lt-1, but the passenger side leaked bad where it met the block. I used the included paper gaskets and blue rtv gasket sealer. When I took the new pump off again, the new gaskets seemed to have softened a lot and just ripped to pieces when I pulled on them. I see that Fel-pro makes some gaskets for this pump that I assume are better, but are there any other sources? I'll make my own if I have to, but would rather just get some good ones. What about using 2 sets for double-thick gaskets?

mr. gasket makes them too. i dont think i'd double up the gaskets though, thats just making more possibilities for a leak.
