Suspension?

When i drive my car feels every bump in the road and when i reach highway speeds i notice that my car shakes too. I was wondering if i bought some rear shocks would this give me a smoother ride. what do i need?

could be the tires and wheels are not balanced, check that first. Also check and see if its aligned.

Good luckI have new tires and they balanced the wheels. I also got a wheel alignment right after that. hmm Everything is stock on my car.

Sorry i failed to say that i own a 1991 firebird with a 305 v8 5-speed. Everythings pretty much stock.
