Help
I own a 99 chevy z71 with 150M miles. About a month ago it started needing a quart of oil a week. Before that it was down about a quart every 3000 miles. It doesn't have smoke and i don't see any oil dripping.
When it is idling and I take the Oil filler cap off it dies. the pcv valve rattle when i shake it.
The gas mileage is between 16-17 mpg
Any ideas what it could be???? HELP??

well the m key is kinda close to the k key, but 1 qt a week and not seeing any dripping or smoke....check the intake manifold gasket. google manifold gasket leak and you will see 99-01 gm has had a lot of problems with this.

M is also the Roman numeral for 1,000.

aye, yes it is, but thats thinking outside the box, i dont tend to do that, its scary out there. beside, if it was roman numeral it would be CL miles.

well it was suppose to have a line over the CL to indicate 150,000, a line over a letter is X1000 of the regular number. so did you ever get that gasket checked?
