Fan Controls on 02 Liberty

I was recharging the A/C System on an 02 Jeep Liberty, and the low speed (#1) fan does not work, the blower will blow fine on 2, 3 and 4 speeds but nothing on 1, has anyone had this problem before?

Yep, I had the same problem on my 02..the problem was the "blower motor resistor block" .....the symptom was same as you describe, no "low speed fan", only medium and high. I picked the block up from the Chrysler dealer, under $20.........took about a half hour to replace.........its located under the dash below the glove box....
