1994 TaurusGL 3.0 Steering Problem

Last night I was driving and the PS started to whine...about 10 seconds later a plume of smoke came from under the hood. I thought for sure that I blew a PS hose, but after further inspection, I realized that the fluid was coming through the cap on the pump rezzy.(its not gushing out, just pushing through slowly...then giving a good push as I turn the engine off)
I figured that I need a new pump, however, while pricing a new pump, I saw that a Pressure Switch is offered for my year(94) Taurus.
Last week my front motor mount went out and the engine stood up at a 90º angle because my exhaust has a slip coupler after the cat that isn't welded.
That incident snapped an AC line which I replaced along with the Condenser, and the AC system is working fine now.
But because of that huge engine shift I am now starting to think that it may have something to do with the PS Pressure Switch not working properly.
My questions are:
1) Where is the PS Pressure Switch Located?
2) Could the problem be the PS Press Switch?
3) Is it possible that the Switch would cause an intermittent problem?(I started the car tonight and it doesnt appear to be leaking at all, although I didn't really warm up the car)
Any and every help is much appreciated...
Thanks,
V
boy....im glad I didnt have to wait for a response from anyone here to fix my taurus.... its a week later now and nobody found my problem important enough to even try to help.... I guess I should have asked a real technical question like...i got mud in my radiator...what do i do? I would have gotten hundreds of views and almost a hundred replies ...sheesh.... I guess that shows the mechanical abilities of this bunch.
