Accord EX Transmission - Strange Condition

I have a 90 Accord EX that has had a peculiar transmission behavior for the past year (first occurred on frigid day). The transmission generally losses Drive (& REV) eventually. It is always OK at startup, but within 10-15 mins of operation, will begin to slip or have delayed/extended shifts. Normally, I would just say that the transmission is spent after 200 kmi, and get it rebuilt. This is of course what any transmission shop would recommend, since they make their $$ rebuilding transmissions (duh), but this problem can be temporarily overcome by simply re-cycling the ignition or giving the vehicle a short 0.5-1 min. rest. Then the condition will re-appear 5-10 mins later. This condition seems apparently electrical, rather than hydro-mechanical (i.e. rebuild). I have replaced the TCM with a rebuilt module, with no effect on the conditon. Fluid has also been checked and is OK. Good example of a system that 'almost fails' but doesn't leave you stranded, if you live with the odd periodic ignition reset trick. Is this some solenoid or other electrically diagnosable condition? I would be greatful for any suggestions on this perplexing situation. Thx - Ed

It does indeed sound like a sensor of some sort... probably a pressure sensor... while your at it, change the tranny fluid.
