woman needs help 96 achieva

my car goes up to 3 rpms sometimes when i start it.while driving it has idled so low that it stalls at stop signs.it has hesitant accerloration(sorry can't spell)if you slowly build up speed it runs fine.if you really get onto the petal at 40 miles per hr it will bog down and sometimes backfire.when it bogs down at 40 miles per hr if you let your foot off the gas and then press the gas petal again then it speeds up fine.

diagnostic tests at autozone came up with 3 codes PO141 PO172 and PO300..any suggestions would deeply be appreciated....

Welcome to AF, please post the engine size. These codes are pointing to a random misfire, heater circuit in the bank one number 2 o2 sensor., and a rich condition. Many things can cause this and for the most part a thorough scan and fuel pressure checks need to be done. Also what is the service history?

it says 16V QUAD 4 DOHC. 2.4 liters.unfortuantly i have no vehicle history.

These issues will, as I said require addt'l and more involved diagnosis, unless you have the equipment and the skills, a pro is required here.
