comparisons.....miata vs..................?

what can yuou compare a miata to these days? id say a mr2 (n/a) snd gen. what do you guys think?

i love the miata and i would love to own one but i dont know about comparing it to a mr2.....yeah the power is there but the weight distrubtion and mid engine of the Mr2 would give it a strong advantage....Miata would hang in there though based on its low weight....through a super charger on it and you own it

well on a day by day basis the miata is much more practical its got WAY more trunk space than any MR2, altough the mr2 is a better track car from the factory.

Over here in the UK the main rival for the MX-5 is the MGTF..
But don't forget there's also the:
BMW Z3 (now Z4)
Lotus else
Opel/Vauxhall VX220

Also VW plan to release this baby next year for a on the road price of around $20,000 (for the base model)!!!

The 1.9 L Z3s are a close match, but they are no longer made. The Z4 is 10K more than the Miata and has WAY more power, so I don't think they're really in the same class.
