HELP ME! 2nd gear keeps poping out

When I gear into 2nd and press the gas there is no problem but once I let go of the gas my shifter pops out of its slot. Also I have problems down-shifting into 2nd.

Can you guys help me? what should I check?

U should check the prices of a new tranny & then check ur bank account.

Yeh my si tranny did that before. Does it grind when u try to downshift? If anything its the synchros. IF it pops out like that then it could mean u need a new clutch. not sure though but thats how my tranny was.

I think i'd also check to make sure the tranny and engine are still connected right. A buddy of mine bent a motor mount just slighty when he hit a pot hole(big pothole) it caused something to shift or seperate, caused problems like gears not going in all the way or gears popping out.
