99 ford ranger 4x4 pulse vacuum hubs

:banghead: I brought my truck to a dealer and they ran a diagnostic and found the vacuum solenoids were leaking. no problem so i thought, until the warranty company said it is not covered so now, i need help with finding where i can get the solenoids and where are they located on my truck. bye the way they some how control the 4x4. any help will be appreciated thanks.runaround

What did the dealer say you needed? Was it front hubs? If so, then there are o-rings and etc in there that control the 4 wheel drive. My 99 Ranger is this way and there is no way around getting hubs if needed. They are very expensive......$250+.

i had the same problem.. try to manuall lock them in.... get a suckson pump ( the one that does not let the air out when you release it) take a part the hubs and push them down until they are lock in... MAKE SURE YOU DONT LOSE THE SUCKSON OR IT WELL NOT WORK....

Pretty sure you could convert your truck to manual hubs, but they're a pain in the ass unless you leave them locked in all the time then your chewin down your gas mileage.

there is a way to conver the stock hubs to manual lockers by a push button type way, there are step by step directions on how to do it at this website:
